ESS was founded in 2001 by Peter Lauer as a subsidiary of the Embedded Systems Academy and DBK. Due to the education and professional focus of the founder, ESS has always dealt with the topics of microcontrollers and fieldbuses. These two points are characterized by the company’s history and the product portfolio. ESS has been independent since 2004 and is wholly owned by the founder.
From previous industrial activities as the development manager of electronics departments, our founder has brought very high expectations about the quality of development, products and documentation.
As a small company, we are not certified according to ISO or other standards. But when we applied for the E1 test for our telematics connections in 2013, the test by the KBA (Federal Motor Transport Authority) was quickly completed due to the well-documented processes in the company. Thus, we probably carried out one of the fastest E1 certification procedures, because the type test of our CANgineII_BT was also carried out in record time.
These high internal quality guidelines guarantee our customers in the development area transparent and comprehensible processes and an excellent documentation. Related to our products, we are able to achieve an error rate of only about 1‰ due to our internal quality guidelines.
Whether for development work or customer-specific adaptations of our standard products:
In any case, we deliver the highest quality with a great flexibility in our services.
We also guarantee this through 100% production in Germany and the use of printed circuit boards produced exclusively in Germany.
